Our definition of a leader:
A leader is not responsible for having the right answer,
A leader is responsible for recognizing the right answer when it surfaces
A Leader is not responsible for doing the job,
A leader is responsible for motivation and inspiring the team others to get the job done.
Understanding the Triangle of Leadership you can unlock the secret of keeping leadership simple.
The Triangle of Leadership consists of:
You
The Team Members,
The Organization
These are the three ingredients of Leadership – The Triangle of Leadership
All three sides are important. There is a delicate balance between the three sides of the triangle, just as there is a delicate balance between a leader and each of the three leadership components.
As a leader, you need to continuously look for ways to strengthen each side of the triangle.
If one side of the leadership triangle is ignored, that aspect of your leadership weakens and disappears. When one side falters, any side collapses, and the entire Leadership Triangle collapses.
Continuous Improvement
Leadership is about the Triangle and Continuous Improvement for each side.
As you develop each side, the triangle grows stronger. The more skills you develop, and the more strengths you acquire, the stronger the triangle, and the better the leader.
Leadership is about Continuous Improvement:
You and your personal growth
The Team and developing better, team members
The Organization and building a stronger organization |
